A quiet night in {Tonio}
Oct. 5th, 2014 01:56 amTo say Essie had been surprised to run into her Italian fling was something of an understatement. It was also a surprise she wasn't entirely sure how to deal with, so in the end, she decided to just wing it. She hadn't been by the restaurant since meeting him, but they'd exchanged a few messages and he'd pretty much given her an open invitation to just come over sometime to hang out. So that was what Essie planned to do and if the evening became something else, well, that was what winging it was all about, wasn't it?
Wearing a pair of jeans and a light sweater, she checked the bottle of wine (Italian, of course) before she headed up to Tonio's front door. She probably should have called ahead, but she really hadn't thought this through. The idea had simply struck her while she was shopping that afternoon and she'd followed the impulse. If it fell apart, she figured, it would fall apart here.
"Knock-knock?" Tapping on the door, she leaned back to look in the window for any movement. She wasn't sure if she wanted him to be home or out.
